The ultrasonic sensor SIGMA US1 reacts to movement inside the cabin, as well as to open doors or windows.
The principle of the sensor is based on the Doppler effect, i.e. the frequency of the reflected wave from a moving object is different from the frequency of the reflected wave from the object remaining in one place. Two piezoelements, one tuned to radiation, and the other to receiving reflected ultrasound.
The radiation is directed so that any object in the radiation zone changes the flux of the received ultrasound. The receiver fixes the change in the ultrasonic flow. The sensor is compact and easy to install.
